Brazilian Jiu Jitsu at The Martial Arts Institute

Taught under the direct guidance of Shihan Gene Dunn, who is one of the first Americans to reach the level of 2nd degree Black Belt under Renzo Gracie. Shihan Dunn also holds a Black Belt in Judo under Sensei Shiina and a Shotokan Karate Black Belt under renowned instructor Sensei Kai Leung. Shihan Dunn is also a six time National Karate Champion, and won the North American Heavyweight Championship in 1993. Other impressive achievements include: four N.Y.S. championships, three East Coast Regional Championships and a Pan American Bronze Metal.

 

Noted for his ability to train and coach students of all ages, Shihan Dunn has been instrumental in helping many of them become successful Martial Artists (his Shotokan Karate Dojo has produced over 100 Black Belts) and leaders in their community. Professor Brian Glick is a Black Belt under Renzo Gracie and John Danaher. A graduate of Columbia University he also holds a brown belt in Judo under Sensei Shiina and trains Muay Thai with Champion Jamie Crowder. Sensei Anthony Arango is a student of both Shihan Gene Dunn and Professor Brian Glick. He is a member of Brooklyn Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, The World Jiu Jitsu United and Certified with Martial Arts University International in Mixed Martial Arts.
